The sculpture for birds was created as part of the Night of Museums in Warsaw. Together with the residents of Targówek Fabryczny, we have created a natural social sculpture that harmonises with the natural surroundings of the renovated Villa at Siarczana 4, which serves as an office of the Center for Culture and Activity. There are over 100-year-old trees in the park surrounding the modernised historic building.

Through collective work with the natural material, which is wood, we wanted to refer to both the potential associated with the environment and the history of the immediate surroundings. On Siarczana Street, in the place previously occupied by Huta Szkła, Zakłady Mechanical Treatment of Wood operated from 1949. Their functioning was of great importance for at the time renovating Warsaw, for which wood was at a cost of gold.

The wooden art installation was made of specially modeled blocks of wood, which will form a stored structure. In the upper spheres, the hollow niches will be an ideal place for birds to settle, and the lower ones will be suitable for insects.

 The project was carried out in cooperation with the Center for Culture and Activity in Targówek District in Warsaw.
